I am a Registered Mental Health Nurse with over 25 years experience of working within the NHS specifically in the field of psychiatry. I have worked in acute settings and for a number of years worked as community psychiatric nurse where I was involved in helping people with various mental health problems from severe and enduring psychological difficulties to those who presented with more transient problems. I undertook further training as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and qualified in 2001. I am now an accredited member of the BABCP (British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists). I have experience of working and helping people with very complex problems and have specialised skills in working with Eating Disorders. The number of therapy sessions required is dependent on the severity and type of problem but most people will need somewhere between 6 and 12 sessions. Sessions are usually weekly or fortnightly and last one hour. I see people at my private office at home where I provide a professional and confidential service. Should you wish to consider my service then please call or email me to discuss options with no charge or obligation.
